HOW TO USE SAMBHAR MASALA

  1. DIRECTLY IN DISH: Add 10-12 drops of Sambhar Liquid Masala directly in dish, mostly towards end of cooking process.

  2. FOR ENHANCING REGULAR SAMBHAR MASALA: You can also add 15 ml of Sambhar Liquid Masala in 100 grams of regular sambhar masala for preparing highly flavourful and aromatic South Indian dishes.

We understand that every family's taste preferences differ, hence we advise you to start with 4 to 5 drops at first and gradually increase upto 10-12 drops per dish (for 3-4 servings) to develop a flavour that perfectly suits your taste.

Here's a delicious and authentic Mysore style Sambhar Recipe from our United SpiceInDrops Chefs:

  • Wash and soak 1 cup (120g) of tur dal for about 15 minutes
  • Pressure cook dal with 8 cups (1200 ml) water and 1 teaspoon salt
  • When dal is 80% done, add 100g stringed drumsticks cut into 3 inch stick, 2 medium size onions cut in quarters, 1 small brinjal cut in 1 inch dices and few small pieces of pumpkin with 1/2 teaspoon of Turmeric Powder, to boiling dal
  • Cook till the vegetables are about half done
  • Add 3 teaspoon of sieved tamarind (imli) juice and 3 tbsp spoon of sieved jaggery water and simmer for another 10 minutes
  • Make tadka in a pan by adding 3 teaspoon ghee/oil, hing according to taste, 1tsp soaked urad dal, 1tsp of soaked chana dal, 1/2tsp mustard seeds, 4 whole red chillies and few fresh curry leaves
  • Add it to the simmering sambhar along with 3-4 drops of Spice in Drops Sambhar Blend
  • Check for seasonings and allow it to cook for another 3-5 minutes, serve hot.
  • लगभग 15 मिनट के लिए 1 कप (120 ग्राम) अरहर की दाल को भिगो कर रख दें
  • दाल को 8 कप (1200 मिली) पानी और 1 चम्मच नमक के साथ पकाएं
  • जब डाल 80% पाक जाए, तब कुकर में ही 100 ग्राम कटे हुए ड्रमस्टिक, 2 छोटे कटे हुए प्याज़, 1 कटा हुआ छोटा बैंगन, कद्दू के कुछ छोटे टुकड़े और 1/2 छोटा चम्मच हल्दी पाउडर डाल दें और सब्ज़ियों के आधा पकने तक पकाएँ
  • 3 चम्मच इमली का रस छानकर और 3 चम्मच छना हुआ गुड़ का पानी में मिलाएं और 10 मिनट के लिए उबालें। एक छोटे कड़ाई में 3 चम्मच घी / तेल, स्वादानुसार हिंग, 1 चम्मच भीगी हुई उड़द दाल, 1 चम्मच भीगी हुई चना दाल, 1/2 चम्मच सरसों के दाने, 4 साबुत लाल मिर्च और कुछ ताज़ी करी पत्तियाँ डालकर तड़का बनाएँ
  • इसे उबलते सांभर में मिलाएं, और United SpiceInDrops सांभर ब्लेंड की 3-4 बूंद डालें
